Written for Jen (see her site here!) 'cause, I miss her. (Awwwwwwww...)

We gather close to say goodbye Though not to ask the reason why
Life tosses us, as if a seed
And on the winds are carried thee
No longer held by mother bough
But free to roam the air, although
Life sets you down for good or ill
And from that ground you must prevail
'Tis not "goodbye" but more "good luck"
And may you thrive until winds pluck
From you a tiny, fragile seed
And when it goes, may you not weep
'Tis not so frail as you may think
You may step back and pause and blink
From such seeds great things can grow
But first they must be on their own
Farewell
